Terms of service
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The service
Dhamma Friends is maintained by Miles Disch and helps people discover and organise in-person meditation sits, groups and friendships. These terms cover use of the Dhamma Friends website and app. Contact hello@dhammafriends.com with questions.
Accounts
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Use the service only where you are legally permitted to do so.
Community conduct
Treat other people respectfully. Do not harass, discriminate against or impersonate others, publish another person’s private information without permission, misrepresent an event, use the service for unlawful activity, or interfere with its security or operation. Only submit content you have the right to share.
Your content
You retain your rights in profile and event content you submit. You give Dhamma Friends permission to store, display and process that content as needed to operate the service and make it available according to the relevant visibility settings. Do not include confidential information in public descriptions or profiles.
In-person sits and safety
Sits are organised by community members. Dhamma Friends does not verify every host, attendee, venue or event description, and a listing is not a guarantee that a sit will occur or that a location is suitable. Check the details, follow venue rules and local laws, meet in appropriate public places and use your own judgement about participation. Meditation and community events are not medical treatment or emergency services. Contact local emergency services if immediate help is needed.
Availability and changes
Features, listings and access may change, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons. We may remove content or restrict an account to address misuse, safety concerns, legal requirements or breaches of these terms. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
Privacy and account closure
Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. You can stop using the service at any time. To request account closure or deletion of personal information, contact hello@dhammafriends.com; relevant legal, security and backup-retention limitations may apply.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections. These terms do not promise that every listing, participant or event will meet your expectations.
Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will publish the updated version and date on this page. For questions, concerns or a dispute about the service, contact hello@dhammafriends.com.
